The concept is extremely simple at its core: buy low, sell high.  This is how businesses everywhere have operated for hundreds of years—all you have to do is apply the principle to Amazon.  Here’s my process:

First I find a product at a retail store that is selling cheaply

  • First I find a product at a retail store that is selling cheaply
  • Then I list it on Amazon
  • When it sells, the difference in price is my profit!

Sounds easy, right?

Right . . . but as always, the devil’s in the details.  Here’s the biggest one: where do you find stuff that’s cheaper at retail then on Amazon?

Sure, you can find deals—if you know where to look.  I’ve spent years learning the landscape, and while I’m pretty good at finding products now, I sure wasn’t when I first started.

That’s what keeps most people from getting into this business, by the way.  It can take months or years to figure out how to find the good stuff, and even longer to sort the cheap junk from the things that will sell well on Amazon!
